In applications where it simply isn’t possible to run a duct to extract to the outside of a kitchen, BWF can supply a recirculating canopy.
This highly specialised canopy works by using a fan to draw extract air into the rear of the canopy through baffle filters in a conventional way. From there it is drawing across increasingly fine stages of filtration before a final odour neutralization stage using activated carbon before it is discharged back into the kitchen.
The filtration system can be placed above the canopy (as shown in the design drawing below) if space permits or in a stainless steel tower at the side of the canopy if it doesn’t.
Whilst they can be very useful, the systems are highly specialised and only suitable for use in a limited number of circumstances where the nature of the cooking is very light duty. They are not compatible with the use of any gas fueled appliances.
