COMMERCIAL EXTRACTION CANOPIES
All of our custom-made kitchen extraction canopies are made in 100% dull-buffed stainless steel and supplied with a protective plastic coating. They are formed with welded and polished corners so as to maximise strength, to prevent dirt traps and to present a clean, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
REPLACEMENT AIR SYSTEMS
Our custom-made stainless steel extraction canopies can be manufactured with a full-length replacement air plenum (chamber) into which replacement air is driven by a supply fan and from which air flows into the kitchen via diffusers in the front face of the canopy.

Our ductwork is designed and manufactured to The BESA DW/172 and is usually installed at the same time as the canopy. We can either supply extraction canopies “spigot only” or we can supply complete canopy, ductwork, fan and control systems.

Our Gas Interlocks typically include a simple-to-use LED control panel,
– an emergency stop button, pressure flow switches to monitor performance, and wiring to connect all of the above to the gas solenoid valve in the gas pipe serving the kitchen.
NOISE & ODOUR CONTROLS
We have many years experience in designing effective noise control systems for the commercial catering industry. We use the latest electrostatic precipitators (ESP’s) to remove smoke and grease particles and an ozone injection system to neutralize odours. Noise Control is achieved by a combination of appropriate fan selection, use of in-duct silencers and acoustic enclosures.

In environments where it isn’t possible to run a duct to extract to the outside of a kitchen, BWF can supply highly specialised recirculating canopies, using a fan to draw air into the rear of the canopy through baffle filters, across increasingly fine stages of filtration.

From time to time the limitations of the building mean that it is not strong enough to support the weight of a canopy. Under these circumstances we can manufacture canopies to be self-supporting on their own legs.
A building or structure is still required to provide lateral stability, but the weight of the canopy can be supported entirely from the stainless steel legs
