We procure high quality fans, lights, filters and electrical controls from reputable manufacturers and combine these with our own manufactured items.
INSTALLATION
BWF install commercial kitchen extraction and ventilation systems across the South West, including Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and South Wales .
Although a number of our customers prefer to install their own canopies the majority find it easier to use our supply and install service. This has the benefit that we carry the risk of ensuring that every system is designed and fitted within the constraints of the existing building structure.
SUPPORT
In the unlikely event that there are issues arising with our kitchen extraction systems in the future we provide a warranty against faults in the materials supplied for 12 months from installation.

To design the correct solution for each application, we are able to draw upon many years of experience as well as published technical guidance, including HVCA:DW172 The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, Guidance on the Control of Odour and Noise from Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Systems (Defra 2005)
We can work from your drawings or make our own site surveys. For kitchen canopy design we would generally start from either the proposed layout of cooking equipment, or the proposed canopy dimensions or an invitation to survey and report on an existing installation. For further information on what to consider in designing the optimum system download our Commercial Kitchen Extraction Design Guidance document. We normally only produce AutoCAD drawings of our designs once an order has been received but we are also able to supply drawings and specifications to support detailed planning or listed building consent applications.
Manufacture
Our highly flexible Bristol-based factory is set up with all the necessary facilities for extraction canopy and ductwork manufacture.
Each ventilation and extraction system is custom built to the client agreed design.
We buy-in high quality fans, lights, filters and electrical controls from reputable manufacturers and combine these with our own manufactured items. We assemble canopies up to 7m x 4m in size which can then be transported to site in sections.
Install
Although a number of our customers prefer to install their own canopies the majority find it easier to use our supply and install service. This has the benefit that we carry the risk of ensuring that every system is designed and fitted within the constraints of the existing building structure.
We would take detailed site measurements in advance of manufacture and then work with other trades on site to ensure that any associated preparatory building works are correctly specified and programmed to dovetail with our works. Our extraction installation teams all carry CSCS skill cards. They are fully trained in all the necessary health and safety procedures and would be equipped with site-specific risk assessments, method statements and safety equipment.
The company is fully accredited under the Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) which provides an independent, annual assessment of our health and safety systems and performance On completion of the mechanical installation our electricians will make the necessary electrical connections and fully commission the system prior to handover and acceptance by the client. A comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manual is supplied with each system.
